The Littlest Diva

So, I wanted to ask you... Have you ever been to a birthday? I am quickly becoming a BIG fan. Whenever Mommy and Daddy say that we are going to a birthday - I have to yell out "Oh Boy! Birthday!"

I learned really quick that Birthday means kids, fun, and usually frosting! I mean, cake too, but really who eats that? It's ALL about the frosting.

I really love playing with friends, especially ones bigger than me. It makes me feel big too.

Well, last week Mommy took me to my friend Madalyn's birthday. She's three. Her grandma collected ALL these dress up clothes for her and all of her friends to play with. When Madalyn opened up her present, she let us ALL dress up too. It was SOOO much fun.

I thought I looked really pretty. I kept telling Mommy, "OOOOO, pretty."

Mommy got some pictures of me and some of my friends. Check out my pose in the group shot. I think I was owning my role as a diva!

And... if you happen to have a birthday, count me IN!!!

Corn Fed

Have you told you that I love corn?

I don't know if it's just the fun of eating it or if I just really love the taste.

I am really good at doing it myself. I just LOVE holding the little green holders that mommy puts on it.

It's my new favorite!!!

I went to the fair today.

Mama and Daddy (that's what I call him now) took me. They took me last year too, but this year, it was a little more exciting.

We got to see some animals like... Moo's and Baa's and Peep-Peep's. I don't really know how to say their names, but I can say all their sounds. I even got to pet them. It was really fun. Until Daddy wanted to take me out because I was playing with all of the sawdust too much. (and I almost squeezed a little chick's head) But then I got to wash my hands, and that is one of my favorite things to do lately.

Mama and Daddy even took me on some rides. I got to go on my favorite, the carrousel, with Daddy. I was a little scared at first, which isn't really like me. I think I was a little nervous with all the "carnies" running the rides. You know, those fair rides can be a little unpredictable and I AM my father's daughter.

Mama took me on a flying bee. That was fun. I just kept saying weeeeeee! And I could see Daddy on the ground. I liked it.

I ran into some of my cousins at the fair. This is my cousin Tiger. He is really funny and he likes to kiss people..... ALOT.

I also ran into Titi Leslie and Uncle Amar and my cousins Brandon and Collin. Who knew I would see so much family at the fair. Mommy said that with all the family that we have, chances are we will run into someone WHEREVER we go.

I had my first fair food too. Corn on the cob! MMMMM! I really liked it.

The Fair was really fun but BOY were my feet tired. It's a good thing that you can get a massage for only 25 cents! Thanks Mama and Daddy for taking me to such a great place!

Ca-Ca

Yes, Ca-Ca. You heard me, I said  - and I say it ALL the time.

Whenever I find a little something on the ground or a piece of fuzz off my toy - whatever is little and just doesn't seem right.

Mommy thinks it's funny that I usually say it as whatever it is is making it's way into my mouth. I guess I just like to acknowledge that I am aware I shouldn't put it in my mouth - but I HAVE to know what it is... right?

I guess it's a Portuguese thing to say it, but my white Daddy is the one that taught it to me. ;o)

So now you know what to call all those little things you find on the ground - fuzz, papers, whatever, CA-CA!

Glad I could help.

Until next time,

We've got Pigtails!!!!

Mommy says that she has been waiting for this day for a long time. My hair is in pigtails. I don't really see what the big deal is. I mean, I don't think I really like sitting for even longer to have my hair done, but whatever. I have to tell you, she was really happy that I finally have enough hair to do them. Even if it is just in the back. Check it out....

My First Sleepover

Mommy was very excited, she says, when she found out she was having a girl. With all of my cousins born around the same time sleepovers are a MUST! Of course, at just 14 months, you may think that I'm a little young for them - but kids are growing up fast these days. Besides, Sophie couldn't stay home alone when her parents took Diego to Disneyland. So... she stayed with us. For three days. We had LOTS of fun. We went to the park, to the zoo, took baths together and even played in each other's cribs. Next month, I get to stay at her house. I can't wait! Here are some pictures of our time together.

See you in June Sophie!

So, with some of my birthday money, Mommy and Daddy decided to get us passes to this great place... SEA WORLD!!! This is the first time they took me and I LOVED it. I just was pointing at everything and saying, "Wook!" "Wow!"

There were so many amazing things to see. First, I saw these dolphins. I think they were looking right at me through the glass.

Then, I went over to the seals. They were making sooo much noise that Mommy said that we must be related.

Oh and we went to this show with cats and dogs - it was my FAVORITE! I kept clapping and signing "More!" I was sad when it was over.

But then I got to see some sharks and the penguins. That was really cool. (get it?)

And last but not least... I got to see the Shamu show. I was really glad, because it was really past my nap time. But Mommy and Daddy said,  "Who can come to Sea World without seeing Shamu?!?" That whale is HUGE! I really loved when he jumped in the air.

Thanks Mommy and Daddy for taking me to Sea World. And thanks everybody who gave us the passes. I really had a fun time!

Until next time,
